Miss. B reports from Ibiza - 6.9.08

Hola, it has been a busy week for the Kandi people out in Ibiza. Not only has everyone been doing their usual bits to make sure that the El Divino HK night is forever etched into the minds of all who attended as a clubbing and holiday highlight, but there was also the addition of a live PA and the launch of Hed Kandi fragrance 'Eivissa'! Phew!

Not only did we have this busy Saturday night but this was the week we had an 'Ibiza Team Kandi' night out before all of those who are returning home for University start to depart (sob). We started our Tuesday evening with a slap up meal at Tijuana a tex/mex restaurant in San Antonio. They coped well with our group of 20 and this is a fun venue to have a lively night out with friends, including telephones on the tables so that all of the groups of strangers can talk to each other! We followed this with a visit to Space, for 'Carl Cox and friends'. As always Space is a sure bet for quality music and a great venue, and Tuesday with Carl was no exception the great man himself plays every week and is joined by different guests, we all watched Roni Size and Fedde Le Grand to name a few.

So to Saturday. The fragrance launch saw some additions to the pre-parties and club of new banners, a number of visitors from fashion magazines (one of whom was wearing the most fantastic pair of sequined trousers) and some delightful boys and girls mingling with the El Divino crowd on the outside terrace providing samples of the soon to be available fragrance, as they chilled and chatted. Both Lovely Laura and myself were very chuffed with the sample we were given and this beautiful bottle will make a delightful addition to our dressing tables. Well enough of the fashion industry's input to the night. We were at El Divino for music and dancing and as always that is what we got. It was a bumper week, not only did we see the second visit of the season of Andy Daniels and Dean Rigg who both provided anthem after anthem but also something new including a version of Robin S that they have both been working on which is rather good, I will look forward to hearing more about this soon. In addition to the fine work of these two boys we also saw Ibiza Kandi residents Ian C and Lovely Laura charm us with their live performances and were joined on the El Divino stage for two live sets by Tara McDonald! Tara always looks and sounds incredible and is so obviously enjoying her work that she is a real pleasure to watch, and so nice to chat with.
